MBS Newsletters

Motor Coach Age (MCA) is the premier publication of the Motor Bus Society, and it was first published in January 1950. Prior to 1950, the Motor Bus Society published an earlier publication called Bus Ways from 1949 thru 1950, which was primarily a bus/motorcoach focused newsletter. Between 1961 and 1966, Motor Coach Age was predominately a newsletter and photo panorama with a brief history of individual bus carriers in the US at that time. In addition, Motor Coach Age Special Supplements were issued between 1963 and 1967 with a focus on a particular bus model or a bus operator of interest to MBS members and readers of the time.

Starting in 1967, Motor Coach Age was expanded to feature one or two in-depth and painstakingly researched histories of public bus operators, private motorcoach operators or bus manufacturers in the United States. Today, each issue continues with that format and now includes many unique and historical photographs along with company fleet rosters of each bus operator featured.

Motor Coach Today.

Motor Coach Today was published from 1994 thru 2003 and it was a smaller, quarterly publication of the Motor Bus Society, generally with a focus on more contemporary bus operators and bus manufacturers of the modern era. It also featured news from the US and Canadian bus industry, bus company snap shots and fleet rosters along with photos of recent interest.
